The mantra of Croftlands Court is 'just bring yourself' for here, in the sympathetically converted barns of a Grade II listed farmhouse, every effort has been made to provide the perfect getaway. To preserve the façade of this interesting building, all the accommodation is individually designed, featuring exposed stonework and high beams. The sounds of the countryside are peaceful and full of birdsong and, whilst the working farm setting is home to hens, ducks, Jersey cows and a donkey called Mollie, there is plenty of space to enjoy kicking around with a ball or to pedal a toy tractor. After a day out on a nearby beach or walking on the fells, visitors can relax in the hot tub (bookable for sole use, extra charge) to soothe aching limbs or, for the more energetic, bounce themselves fit on the trampoline. And 'foodies' will love the homemade fare served at the farm's tea rooms, where fresh eggs and Jersey milk can also be purchased.
