Lovely Site, but the Newton Mill Holiday Park was too squashed in for us!

For my campsite review of Newton Mill Holiday Park we had just spent three nights at this campsite which is nicely located if you intend to visit Bath. The site itself is lovely, set in a valley with plenty of trees and a pretty stream running through. The staff were all friendly enough, the toilet block was clean with hot water and free hairdryer. You could have a bath at a cost of £2 or so! We didn't have to queue at all, which was great.
The shop seemed well stocked with essentials. We didn't use the bar or restaurant, but the menu seemed nice enough, with a childrens play area nearby.
We had booked a pitch with EHU for our large tent. We were allocated a patch of grass on a slight slope which was mainly in an area full of caravans and motor homes. We asked if we could move but were told they were fully booked, they did let us pitch a bit further over where it was flatter, this was close to a pump house. Unfortunately boys would come and kick footballs against the pump house wall, which wasn't very relaxing especially with my youngest child trying to sleep! However there were no large grassy areas for anyone to play in at this particular part of the site.
We felt very hemmed in, the road in and out of the campsite was about a metre away from our heads at night. The road was also used by anybody who had been to the bar to watch the entertainment etc, and although most people were considerate we did get woken up a few times.
We also found the site quite expensive at £33 pounds a night for 2 adults and 2 children, on grass pitch with EHU.
We loved the Bath area but won't be returning to this site, it was too noisy and we felt squashed in, not enough room for our two children aged 5 and 3 to play safely.
