Having just returned from a weeks stay for our campsite review of the Trevalgan Touring Park. This site good value for money, the washing facilities were clean but we found that the system was unable to cope with the demand for hot water during busy periods.

My one complaint albeit not the fault of the site owners is selfish dog owners who allow their animals to mess and not clean up after them, I would like to see an area set aside for dog owners. And before anyone jumps up, I love dogs having owned one for several years.

For my campsite review of Trevalgan Touring Park I felt it was a Great campsite, had a lovely stay in May 2011 when we virtually had the place to ourselves.
Shower block although not the most modern was spotless. Best of all was the baby bathroom, and the individual rooms with a shower, toilet and sink, definitely a family friendly park. We stayed with our 10 month old daughter and appreciated the thought that was put into the facilities.
Owners seemed friendly although we did not see them much, check in was quick and the pitches excellent.
St Ives is a great place to visit with something for everyone, lots of unique shops, lovely restaurants, gorgeus beaches and boat trips etc if you want them.
We would definitely come back again as we had a fantastic stay.

Other than the access road which is rather narrow the site is great. We had a fantastic time there and will return again, the park is first class for families with play areas to suit scooters to teenagers.

The site is fantastic for tents as its a very flat site, which for the rugged terrain around st ives is a distinct bonus. Personally I couldn't fault the site.

go there. utg rich

Overall the site was well maintained but in the backpackers area there were lumps of dog mess. We found the online booking process unhelpful but we did get a speedy reply. The site is really well served by public transport with a regular bus to St Ives which links with the open topped bus that loops round the area between Penzance and Lands End. Even if you arrive by car you could easily be car free once you arrive. There is a games room that is advertised as open till 10pm. The area for backpackers adjoins this and when we were there it was left open till gone 11pm. The manager explained this is in response from others who complain that if it is shut at 10pm then noise from people socialising and drinking at night spreads more widely accross the campsite. The first night was fine but on the second night too much drink led to a fight breaking out with the rivals fighting around the backpackers tents although the drunks were from the main field. It may be that late night revels appeal to some people but it would be worth checking on arrival quite when the games room closes and pay to have a pitch further away or close by depending on what you want. If it wasn't for the drunken fight and our dispapointment with the managers response then we would have found the site on the good side of adequate.
