The Satmap Active 10 has been designed for use in outdoor sports such as walking, mountain biking, geocaching, orienteering,cross-country horse riding, family cycle rides and many other outdoor activities.

The Satmap active10 features:

SiRF Star III GPS receiver.

18mm patch antenna.

3.5” LCD transflective backlit colour screen.

In-built 2-axis electronic compass.

Three x AA standard alkaline batteries and a Lithium

Polymer rechargeable ‘smart’ battery.

At last I have found a unit that incorporates ordinance survey maps with a GPS. Although I found the unit a little difficult to get the hang of once I had used it for a while it became easier. Myself and my son used the unit for Geocaching and after a discussion with the online support were able to import files onto the unit in a .gpx format. This really works well as you have all the instructions for the Geocache on the GPS device and don't have to walk around with an additional piece of paper. We also used the strap which was a good thing as my son fell at one point during the route and the unit would have gone flying. The unit also has a replaceable screen cover so you don't have to worry about small scratches on the screen. We expect to have a lot of fun with the unit and have also purchased additional maps to plan our routes a little easier.
