Mr C, Staines, 20th Dec 2008

"I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property - it was very clean and comfortable and the owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly."

Mrs L, CLACKMANNAN, Clackmannanshire, 10th Oct 2009

"It was in a stunning setting. Warm, clean and peaceful. Very helpful on site owners. Facilities were wonderful, pool, gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, tennis, archery, golf, woodland walks. Can highly recommend this place. In fact have done so to my daughters."
Mrs B, THIRSK, North Yorkshire, 11th Sep 2009

"We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The accommodation was excellent and well appointed and the owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area and facilities at the farm. The indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room were an added bonus, as was use of the 9 hole pitch and putt which kept us all occupied when we weren't out sightseeing. The location is well placed for all of the main attractions in that area, in fact there was so much to do that we will have to make another visit in the next couple of years."

The pub across the road do lovely food and the owner of the cottage gave us ten old pennies to pay for a bottle of beer each."
Mrs O, HULL, 16th Oct 2009

"The owners are very friendly and made us feel so welcome. The location of their cottage is ideal for visiting the Yorkshire Moors and surrounding area. Heartbeat country is only a few miles up the road. The cottage is like a home from home with facilities on offer that a lot of other Hoseasons properties don't provide ie: towels, t towels, etc. It was very enjoyable and we will book to go again in the future."
Mrs B, Reading, 12th Sep 2009

"It was the perfect base for my family and I to view Yorkshire. The Golf and Tennis just outside our door was perfect for us to just get up and get out and play. We were not disturbed by others playing and using these facilities. Ideal for any one that wants to play sport and not have to travel."
Mr S, Dorking,, 15th Aug 2009

"This was our second year at Birdie Cottage, it is very well equipped and clean, and the location is perfect for both coastal and inland venues. Richard and Ruth are very helpful, the golf course was ideal and we played everyday! The enclosed garden was ideal for both the children and dog - we highly recommend this cottage and will visit again in the future!"
Mrs B, Preston, Lancs, 1st Aug 2009

"Birdie Cottage was home from home and very well situated for York, Scarborough, the North Yorkshire Moors and much, much more. Child friendly in every way with a tennis court and ball area. The cottage was very well presented with great owners very close to hand if any problems arised. A well equipped cottage, everything you needed was there, and there is a fantastic pub across the road which is well worth a visit. We will certenly be visiting again - thanks a million to Richard and Ruth for giving us a fantastic cottage with a very warm welcome!"

Mrs. M, FARNHAM, 11th Jan 2010

"The wall walk was brilliant and you could see York really well and parts of the Minster i have not seen, and plus its free. "
Mrs H, SCARBOROUGH, North Yorkshire, 28th Nov 2009

"Already have recommended this cottage and your firm to many."
Mrs T, BOOTLE, 17th Oct 2009

"Biggan Mews is ideal for a short break as it is so convenient to all the sights of York, and it has the added advantage of a dedicated free parking space immediately outside the entrance which is a huge bonus. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for 2 people. We loved the fact that it was light and airy due to velux windows and the decor is very cheerful and tasteful. It is lovely there in summer and would be cosy in winter. Offers more freedom than staying in a hotel yet lots of good eating places nearby. Betty's Tea Rooms perfect for a treat - I would highly recommend this holiday."
Mr B, BRISTOL, Avon, 10th Jul 2009

"York is a relaxing and plenty to do place. This was our third visit and we have covered at last all the places of interest. There are lovely resturants & cafes, all with a lovely variety of food and always good service and cleanliness. Also worth a visit is Whitby, Pickering, Helmsley and Goathland village where they film the Heartbeat programme. Also Eden Camp, the prisoner of war camp during the second world war - there is such a variety of things to do. Our accommodation at Biggan Mews was an ideal location for the centre of York, not even a five minute walk from the town. We had a lovely time once again in York and the surrounding places, and the yorkshire people are really welcoming."

The cottage provided us with everything we needed, the yard and playing area were secure and it was nice to show him the animals too. The cottage was very warm and cosy and the location was perfect to get to the places we wanted to visit. We went to Sewerby Hall and Gardens (was recommended in the cottage visitors book), and was very impressed. Despite the house itself being closed, the petting zoo was ideal for our son and the Clock Tower Tearooms were great value. We would higly recommend Bickley Cottage to others who have small children. "
Mrs. O, Rugeley, 5th Oct 2009

"A fantastic cottage, location and friendly staff. I would thoroughly recommend it to all. Loads to do and see locally and a very comfy, clean and well equipped cottage - we'll be back next year!"
Mrs B, GLASGOW, 27th Jun 2009

"A great cottage in a fantastic location. The kids loved the animals and there was lots to see and do."
Mr B, CHESTERFIELD, 23rd Aug 2008

"The accommodation can not be faulted - excellent!"
Mrs N, Hull, North Humberside, 16th Aug 2008

"A wonderfully peaceful and comfortable place to stay. I would thoroughly recommend it to all. There are beautiful beaches and fun places to visit within a thirty minute drive. Also, for families I would recommend visiting the Play Farm. "

My cottage was nice a warm with an open fire and plenty of coal and logs."

Mr & Mrs Sinclair were very friendly people and made us most welcome. The accommodation was fantastic and very comfortable."
Mrs B, WEST MALLING, Kent, 21st Dec 2009

"This holiday was so enjoyable that our party all want to go back next year, the barn/house was so clean and tidy, it was a home from home but in a fantastic setting, really good for keen walkers of all ages and fitness, the owners were really nice and helpful to us, but they were there if we needed them otherwise they just let us get on with our holiday. The bedrooms were really spacious and tastefully decorated as was the rest of the house. The views were breathtaking totally a five star holiday . The location gives you a real get away feeling but you are 5 miles away from Kirkby Stephen were you can shop and eat out or go for a take out. We all really loved it 10 out of 10 for location and setting ."
Mrs D, Ilford, Essex, 15th Aug 2009

"This was one of the best weeks we have had - having holidayed in the uk for 10 years. Spittal and the surrounding areas are a dog walkers paradise and the coastline is so interesting and beautiful even in the rain. Kept 2 adults, 2 boys 12 & 16 and 1 dog happy and we could have all stayed another week! We didn't even feel like this after staying at a very popular & very expensive well known resort in the uk. The accomodation is in a perfect location for the beach and in easy reach of everywhere else, very clean and comfortable. highly recommended."
Mrs G, Stockport, Cheshire, 8th Aug 2009

"Comfortable well equipped accomodation excellent base for touring area and only a few yards from beach. Has excellent sea views."
Mr T, LINCOLN, 25th Jul 2009

"It was an excellent standard and the location was superb. I cannot fault it in any way and would recommend it and go again."
Mrs A, CHORLEY, Lancashire, 27th Jun 2009

"A really comfortable stylish house in Spital, located two minutes from a lovely sandy beach and very near the Lowry Way. A superb walk along the banks of the Tweed estuary, wonderful views and loads of information about the painter Lowry who loved to paint scenes of Spitall and Berwick upon Tweed. Short drive to a Marks and Spencer supermarket or Co-op store. The owners provided a welcome hamper, very nice and most welcome. Easy access to many wonderful locations and magnificant scenery, well worth the long drive from Cambridgeshire."
Mrs J, Huntingdon, 30th May 2009

"The accommodation is delightful, warm and comfortable with a luxurious set up. We loved the living space being on the top floor, being able to look out and hear the sounds of the sea, morning, noon and night. There was a lovely welcome pack for us on arrival - most of which the kids tucked into! This is the 4th time as a family we have returned to this area. We spent every day out and about, and returning to Bedes felt like returning to a home from home. We had good days out at Paxton House, Seahouses, Bamburgh and Edinburgh. Bedes is ideally situated for walks, both short and long with plenty of sight seeing. Thank you Simon and Karen for making this a lovely place to stay. We will certainly look to see if this property is available next time we visit as there is still plenty to see and we definitely felt relaxed and rested having had such luxury to stay in for the week.
